The Spheres that Define Reality
Correspondence
Entropy
- Immediate Spatial Perceptions: The mage can determine exact distances as well as spatial disruptions (any use of Correspondence). Combined with other spheres, the mage can perform precise measurement and detection.
- Sense/Touch Space: The mage can cast their perceptions (scrying, but any sense). Alternatively the mage may create a scrywall to prevent other mages from perceiving and casting to a given location.
- Pierce Space: The mage can create portals that connect their location and a distant destination. These portals may be used to bring items or to teleport to another location. Mages may also cast a ward on an area to prevent these effects.
- Rend Space: The mage can manipulate space to move other people, create gates, create pockets of null space, and co-locate themselves in multiple locations.
- Mutate Localities: The mage can freely manipulate space to bend angles, stack locations, and manipulate the apparent size and volume of objects.
Forces
- Sense fate/fortune: The mage knows the odds of everything and can sense any alteration (use of Entropy).
- Control Probability: The mage can alter the odds of any seemingly random event in his favor. Players should not be allowed to create situations, merely modify the outcome of situations that are already occurring. Each point of success may be used to cancel a point of success on another roll. Example: A mage wants a gunman to miss him, so he tries to alter the gunman's odds of hitting (his to-hit roll).
- Affect Predictable Patterns: The mage can magnify the natural entropy present in Matter and Force patterns causing them to decay rapidly or to last impossibly long.
- Affect Life: The mage can also cause the same effects with Life patterns.
- Affect Thought: The mage can also cause the same effects with Mind patterns such as creating or destroying pervasive ideas.
- Perceive Forces: The mage can perceive the intensity of any force and the use of Forces by others.
- Control Minor Forces: The mage can influence the direction and intensity of any force (kinetic energy, light, electricity, radiation, etc.) up to 1 hex at a time.
- Transmute Minor Forces: The mage can alter forces seemingly creating and banishing them at will up to 1 hex at a time.
- Control Major Forces: As Control Minor Forces, but the mage can influence any size of a force within his distance.
- Transmute Major Forces: As Transmute Minor Forces, but the mage can create/banish any size of a force within his distance.
