Unusual Traits
Dwarves may possess up to 3 levels of DR (Tough Skin) and can increase their Lifting ST by up to 5 more levels. Magic Resistance and Longevity are also common.

Dwarf Racial Background
Dwarves were created to fill a niche in the Grey Order. They were talented artisans, excellent laborers, and required fewer resources to survive. In short, dwarves made excellent slaves.

For centuries dwarves were exploited by the Grey Order. Naturally, some dwarves resisted and the occasional rebellion occurred. About one thousand years ago during a time of turmoil, a group of organized dwarves seized control in one of the outlying cities. This rebellion did not last, but the bulk of the dwarves involved did escape into the mountains. These dwarves later formed the Dwarven Guild.

Most dwarves live in the Grey Order where they have begrudingly earned their place as citizens. Dwarves living outside of the Grey Order usually profess to be part of the Dwarven Guild despite where they may currently live.
