Djinn are encouraged to take disadvanatages corresponding to their belief in a Prophet (see Al-Haz).Djinn also have a dependency on the spot they touched down on Al-Haz. They must spend at least one day home (within 25 miles) per month or they will start suffering as per the monthly dependency. This assumed to be a 0 point feature unless adventures will take Djinn away for longer (price accordingly).
Djinn Racial Background
No one knows why the Storm of God happened, but it ripped the Djinn from their natural plane of existance and cast them down upon Al-Haz. Where a Djinn landed, they became mortal. No one knows exactly how many Djinn there are. What scholars are fairly certain of is that Djinn cannot reproduce on this plane. (At least not normally, it is assumed that it would require a very high mana area or extreme magical assistance.)
There are 4 distinct sub-species of Djinn with many common traits: the Jann, Ifrits, Marids, and the Shaitan. The Jann are natural workers, they blend in with the common folk and seldom reveal their existance. The Ifrits are the warriors. Most Ifrits are dutiful soldiers while some are bloodthirsty monsters. The Marids are natural leaders, and have become powerful advisors to the rules of Al-Haz. Many suspect that the Marids secretly control all the power. Lastly, the Shiatan are tricksters and shapeshifters.
