The campaign map is Europe with the differences noted below.
- Al-Haz inhabits the area we know as Poland, Slovaria, Romania, and the western half of the Ukraine. The climate is warmer and dryer with much less inland water.

- The Elvin Tribes inhabit the Great Britian mainland.
- The Grey Order controls the area that we know as France.
- The Legion is represented by Italy.
- Megalos controls the areas for Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
- The Noth Tribes cover Norway, Sweden, Finland, and northern Russia
- Orc Wastes are in Spain. Few humans remain there.
- Blasted Lands - Netherlands
- Mistlands - Bulgaria
- Cardiel - Hungary, Belgrade, Coastal Alps
- Waysong - Greece
- Sahud - Eastern half of the Ukraine
Al-Haz is the oldest nation. No one remembers when Al-Haz was founded though many scholars guess that Al-Haz was founded more than four thousand years ago. Al-Haz's golden ago was more than two thousand years ago putting it in decline longer than most nations have existed. Despite this, Al-Haz is still a major power and a center for culture.
The Grey Order is the second oldest nation. The Grey Order was founded more than two thousand years ago by a group of rogue mage scholars. These scholars built a magically progressive society uninhibited by religious practices.
Megalos was founded approximately 1200 by Simon Menelaus by uniting of the Germanic tribes. Almost identical to the version in GURPS Fantasy Megalos is a feudal empire with a history of expansion.
The Dwarven Guild was founded by Dwarven refugees one thousand years ago after a failed attempt to topple the Grey Order's mage caste. Somehow they have managed to forge alliances and escape the Grey Order's wrath while carving out a small nation.
The Elvin Tribes have existed for less than 500 years. Exactly when they became known as the Elvin tribes is a matter of debate but the oldest Elf is less than
500 years old. Originally they were a collection of native human tribes, but when Elves sprang into being they spread like wildfire across the country. In just over a dozen generations there were more male Elves than male humans. After a fe
w dozen generations, there were no human males left.
