Jafar is a lesser vizier in service to a great Madrid. Currently, he's serving as an ambassador to other nations in an attempt to assess their strengths. His proficiency however is being a soldier. As an NPC, Jafar serves as a roaming representative of Al-Haz. He might try to recruit the PCs as spies or simply accompany them.
Jafar's natural Djinn dependency has been negated by a magic item specifically created to allow Ifrits to travel to other lands. Naturally the existance of such an item is a secret as well as the fact that he's a Djinn. In Al-Waz being a Djinn would not be bad; however, there is a bountry for Djinn in both the Grey Order and in Megalos.
In combat Jafar prefers his sword, but will use spells if warranted. If pressed he can change into his fiery form where he still has full access to his spells.
